UPDATES FROM PAST PUPPY BUYERS ALONG WITH OUR RETIRED ADULTS NEW OWNERS. THIS PAGE UPDATED 8/28/18
Hi Paul, 8=28-18 Just wanted to let you know that this little girl is one of the sweetest and smartest Minis that I have known. By bedtime last night, she was already responding to her name. We named her Jesse. She did not make a mess last night even though we left a couple of potty pads in the room with her and the others and as soon as we let her outside, the did her business😊 We usually get our gang up around 6ish every morning and feed them then let them outside and she was right along with everyone else. We found out that she can play fetch and actually brings the ball back! I know it has not even been 24 hours but we are sooo happy with her! Anyway, thank you so much for such a sweet little girl. My husband and I have had up to 6 at a time (we used to work with a Schnauzer rescue) and after seeing what a wonderful pup she is, we are thinking of adding another in the next year or so. I will be in touch! Dania
Just a quick update. Zuno is fantastic!! He knows how to sit, shake and give a high five on command. Most important to goes to the door when he needs to go out. Better and better on the leash.
He follows me everywhere and is definitely my little guy. Such a lover and enjoys all the affection he can get You gave him such a wonderful head start which has made this transition such a success. Pam Pam
(THIS FANTASTIC SWEET BEAUTY WAS RETIRED & WENT TO HER NEW LOVING FOREVER HOME AT 4 YEARS OF AGE) -----Original Message----- From: Diane & Bill Sent: Sat, Sep 24, 2016 4:18 pm Subject: Diva/Godiva
Hi Phyllis, I thought you might like to know we are making slow progress. When we returned home from an outing, she was excited and glad to see us. She seems to know “Get in the house” (through the doggy door). She’ll “come” to Bill when he calls her. When the neighbors visit, she’ll bark at first and then settle down. We are selling our trailer and went out to show the buyers its intricacies and Gadiva wanted to go into the trailer and be with me, but the buyer was there. Bill said she walked around the trailer trying to find another way in. She has become protective of each of us. When we walk, particularly me, she walks so close behind me, she puts her muzzle on my calf/back of my knee. She is bonding with us, but she definitely has a head of her own (besides not understanding what is wanted). She is not motivated by food/treats. It’s a fun challenge! Each day I carry her outside with the leash on and put her down. She will not walk with the leash on. I can say Gadiva come and then I’ll “drag” her two steps and say “Good Girl”. Otherwise, she’ll just stand there and look around. A couple of times, she’ll put her nose down and sniff the ground and move a little and I think we’re making progress, but not much. Today, we were out of the yard and her collar came off.Afraid she’d run off somewhere, I said “Get in the house” and she turned right around and went through the doggy door to Bill’s lap. We’re going early this Saturday to Pahrump, so we’d like to drop her off Friday some convenient time for you. We’ll be returning late Sunday night so we’d like to pick her up Monday, again, when it’s convenient for you. We’ll talk more of her adventures when we see you. Love, Diane

-----Original Message----- From: Carey To: SCHNAUZER MOM=PHYLLIS Sent: Sun, Sep 18, 2016 6:27 pm Subject: The New Okies Have Arrived Safely Dear Phyllis, The little girls were absolutely brilliant on the airplane and took this rather large adventure well in stride. We kept the kibbles limited to just a few scattered in the bed for them to find. It helped, initially, to distract them from the unusual vibrations andnoise of an airplane. Then, as they began to relax through the journey we gave them a few more and had a little water available for them. By the time we landed in Albuquerque for a rest stop, the girls were ready to feel grass tickling their toes and take advantage of the private little park at the general aviation building. Successful 1's and 2's all around! They are now exploring all the toys and new sights and smells at our home. Love trotting after my husband. Parti girl already has the big dog strut going! Thought you would enjoy a pic of their new "nursery" and how they are settling in. Will keep you posted on the new experiences! Hello Phyllis, Glad the family product is meeting with approval! Just like YOUR family's products!
So far the girls have: — mastered popping up and down the front porch step (that took some encouragement to help them gather the courage to tackle a 6-inch step!); — learned the delight of getting wet to their bellies speeding through the dewey green grass; — discovered the dining table and chairs make a terrific place to play "keep away" with toys;
— shown me that they know the meaning of "treat"; and — demoted me from Most Favorite to Third Most Favorite. Now first in their hearts is the large, woolly, super-soft bison hide on the floor followed by a stack of dirty clothes they found. Both are perfect for extended naps!
Pine cones, pine straw, tiny sugar ants, a wet sidewalk and fallen leaves are now part of their "been there, done that" experience.
Hugs Back Atcha!

SORRY I DIDN'T RESPOND BEFORE, I DIDN'T SEE YOUR EMAIL FOR SOME REASON IT WAS DOWN THE LIST WITH OUR CHAIN OF EMAILS, BUT I'VE BEEN MEANING TO SEND YOU AN UPDATE ANYWAY. MATILDA IS DOING GREAT, SHE LEARNED HER NAME IN A COUPLE DAYS. SHE BECAME SUPER ATTACHED TO ME JUST ON THE RIDE HOME, BUT IS VERY FRIENDLY TO EVERYONE. SHE SEEMS TO LOVE IT HERE, RUNNING AROUND THE HOUSE AND BUGGING THE OTHER DOGS, ONLY ONE OF THEM LIKES TO PLAY WITH HER. SHE LOVES BEING OUTSIDE IN THE GRASS. I FOUND SOME GREAT TREATS THAT ARE FREEZE DRIED AND THE ONLY INGREDIENTS FOR THE CHICKEN ONES IS CHICKEN, FOR THE BEEF IT'S BEEF AND BEEF LIVER AND SO ON, SO THEY ARE ALL NATURAL AND SHE LOVES THEM. SHE ALREADY HAS LEARNED HOW TO SIT, SHAKE, LIE DOWN, ROLL OVER AND SPEAK, SO SHE IS VERY SMART AND STARTING TO GET VERY VOCAL ESPECIALLY WHEN SHE WANTS SOMETHING. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HER, SHE IS MY LITTLE MIRACLE AND IS SO MUCH LIKE MY HANNAH THAT SHE HAS MADE LOSING HER MORE BEARABLE. SHE IS VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF AND VERY LOVED. BARNEY IS JUST ESTATIC TO HAVE A PLAYMATE. SADIE WAS A BIT UNEASY IN HER NEW SURROUNDINGS LAST NIGHT. BOTH KIDS SLEPT DOWNSTAIRS WHERE THEY WERE PLAYING. I GOT UP AROUND 2 AND TOOK THEM OUTSIDE TO DO THEIR BUSINESS. WE ALL PLAYED UNTIL AROUND 3 WHEN I NEEDED TO GET READY FOR WORK. WHEN I LEFT THEY WERE BOTH ENJOYING EACH OTHER IN PLAY AND DIDN'T SEEM TO MIND I WAS LEAVING. JOANN GOT UP WITH THEM THIS MORNING AROUND 7 AND SAYS SADIE IS HAVING FUN PLAYING WITH BARNEY. THEY ARE BOTH DOING THEIR BUSINESS OUT SIDE AND ENJOYING A TREAT AFTERWARDS., THANK YOU FOR BOTH OF THESE LITTLE RASCALS
Barney is adapting like a duck to water. I thought he might miss his litter mates, but he doesn't seem to care. He hasn't whined even once. He is trying to get the cat to play but hasn't been successful yet. He has been sleeping well in the dog bed I had for Gus. The vet just loved him yesterday. She gave him a complete exam and loved his condition. Barney is a very energetic and happy boy. Thank You very much........ PS Walt says hello right back to you.. He was excited to hear I received a dog from you..

-----Original Message----- From: Dan Erinn To: SCHNAUZER MOM=PHYLLIS Sent: Thu, Jan 21, 2016 2:18 pm Subject: RICKY & LUCY
THEIR LITTLE "PERSONALITIES" ARE REALLY DEVELOPING.
RICKY IS THE EPITOMY OF A RAMBUNCIOUS LITTLE BOY; HAS TO KNOW WHAT'S GOIN ON EVERY SECOND, HAS TO BE INVOLVED IN ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING (AS IF HE FEARS HE MIGHT MISS SOMETHING!), AND LITERLLY FEARS NOTHING. HE THINKS HE CAN FLY & KEEPS JUMPING OFF THE COUCH & RECLINERS. I'M NOT TOO AWFULLY FEARFUL AS HE NEVERCRIES & WE HAVE SUPER PLUSHY (OFF-WHITE!) CARPETING IN OUR FAM RM (WHICH IS JUST GETTING TRASHED (EVEN B4 THE PUPS), SO WE ARE GOING TO HAVE WOOD FLOORS PUT IN, BUT NOT TILL THE LITTLE "PHANTOM POOPERS" ARE AT LEAST A YEAR!), BUT NEVERTHELESS, WE TRY NOT TO LET HIM JUMP. (MY GOOD FRIEND'S FULL-GROWN TINY LITTLE CHICHAUA (I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO SPELL THAT, BUT KNOW YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN) JUMPED OFF THE BACK OF THEIR COUCH LIKE HE'D DONE A MILLION TIMES B4, BUT BREAKS HIS LITTLE LEG IN 3 PLACES, COSTS THEM 2 SURGERIES & ABOUT $4,000 IN VET BILLS - YIKES! PRINCESS LUCILLE MC GILICUDDY IS THE LITTLE DIVA. IF SHE DOESN'T GET WHAT SHE WANTS, SHE IMMEDIATELY STARTS CRYING, MAKING YOU THINK SHE HAS JUST KILLED HERSELF, BUT SHE'S JUST WANTING ATTENTION. IF YOU DON'T IMMEDIATELY REACT, SHE STARTS BARKING! LOUD, BARKING!! WHEN THE BARKING STARTS, I CLAP MY HANDS & TELL HER "NO!" WHICH USUALLY WORKS RIGHT AWAY. IF IT DOESN'T, SHE GETS A TIME OUT, IN THE APARTMENT (WITH DOOR CLOSED). SHE WILL NOT JUMP, & IF LEFT IN A RECLINER & WANTS DOWN, SHE WILL CRY OR BARK, WHICH IS JUST FINE W/US; SHE IS ASKING FOR HELP. RICKY WILL ALWAYS START "MESSING" W/HER, JUMPS ON HER FACE, PULLS HER AROUND BY THE TAIL, BITES HER, ETC. SHE LET'S IT GO ON FOR A FEW MIN, THEN SHE LITERALLY JUST ATTACKS HIM, BITTING, GROWLING & BARKING AT HIM; HE ALWAYS ENDS UP BELLY UP, W/HER ON TOP! IT'S AS IF SHE'S TELLING HIM, "OKAY BUTT-HEAD, I'VE HAD ENUFF & YOU WON'T QUIT, SO YOU'RE GOIN' DOWN, NOW!" (AND HE DOES, EVERY TIME!) ZIGGY IS REALLY COMING AROUND, SLOWLY BUT SURELY! WHOO-HOO! AGAIN LAST EVE, THEY PLAYED & PLAYED, FOR ANOTHER 30 MINS OR SO, THEN ALL 3 PASSED OUT, BIG TIME! WHEN THEY PLAY, RICKY CHASES ZIGGY, THEN ZIGGY CHASES RICKY, WHILE LUCY RUNS & BARKS, ALWAYS "HIDING" BEHIND RICKY. THAT SAID, WE CALL HER RICKY'S "WING MAN!" ZIGGY TOTALLY FAVORS LUCY, SHE IS A LOT LESS "VICIOUS" & MORE LOVING & SHE NEVER ACTUALLY "TOUCHES" HIM, JUST CRIES OR BARKS AT HIM.
DAN'S PHONE RANG EARLIER & I HAD TO TAKE PHONE OUTSIDE TO HIM. IT'S REALLY COLD & WINDY, SO I DIDN'T WANT TO TAKE LUCY OUTSIDE, EVEN UNDER MY SHIRT, SO I QUICKLY LAID HER NEXT TO ZIG IN THE RECLINER. HE STARTED TO GET UP (WASN'T "IN THE MOOD" FOR PUPPY CRAZINESS AT THAT PARTICULAR MOMENT) & SO I TOLD HIM, "YOU STAY & WATCH YOUR LITTLE SISTER - FOR JUST A MIN" - I CAME BACK FROM OUTSIDE & THEY WERE LAYING DOWN, SIDE-BY-SIDE, TOO CUTE. I PRAISED ZIG & GAVE HIM A TREAT FOR WATCHING HIS LIL SIS (& HE KNOWS WHAT "WATCH" MEANS)!
THOUGHT YOU'D ENJOY THESE FEW LITTLE DITTIES FOR TODAY. I KNOW ITS A BIZNESS & ALL THAT, BUT I DON'T SEE HOW YOU ARE ABLE TO GIVE UP THESE LITTLE GUYS, WHEN THE NEW MOMS & DADS COME TO GET THEM - DO YOU EVER CRY? AND HAS ANYONE BOUGHT LUCY I OR THE LIL "NOT AS CUTE" DUCKLING YET? YOU MELTED MY HEART WHEN YOU TOLD HER, "THAT'S OKAY, GRANDMA WILL COME PLAY WITH YOU, AS SOON AS WE'RE DONE HERE." SHE WAS FEELING LEFT OUT; HOW SAD!!
IN CLOSING, LAST NIGHT DAN'S HOLDING RICKY & SAYS, "HONEY, WE'VE ONLY HAD THESE LITTLE GUYS FOR 6 DAYS, BUT I'M TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH BOTH OF THEM!" (IT WAS TOO SWEET!)
HUGS FROM THE MAYER 5

Dear Phyllis,
Little miss Sookie is too cute for words. To say that this little girl has bonded with me is an understatement. On our two hour trip back home she stayed snuggled in my arms, every now and then she kept looking at me, eyes to eyes, like a baby pondering the person holding it. I left her with my husband while I went out to buy a crate for the night. When I came back she whined for me every time I stepped away from her. Watching and making sure I came back. She tried several times to climb onto my feet, since she can't jump on my lap in our tall table chairs. I was able one time to get away to move her new bed to the dryer after she made her first pee n poo (figures right, lol). The only way I could get away those short minutes was because I left my shoes behind on the floor with her. We brought her upstairs and discovered she absolutely loves her belly rubbed, so much she passed out right then and there. She only kept to the crate for about an hour, even with one of my throw blankets to sweeten the deal. I haven't slept a wink yet, but she is quite happy with herself snuggled on my chest all night now. So I think you were right in that she worries I'll disappear or something. My last dog, Jilly, did this same thing for a week before she was ready to explore her new world. I miss her tons, but this little girl full of cuddles brings me back to the happy thoughts again and I would like to thank you for being patient with me yesterday. It's hard not being "impulsive" sometimes. But I know we made a good choice adding your baby to our family. Thank you. -Heather's "SOOKIE"

"RUGER" "SOOKIE" & RUGER They had a rough first day and a half. They seemed to have forgotten they were playmates. They were playing too rough and there were some hurt feelings. Sookie still sleeps next to my pillow. I brought Ruger onto my bed to sleep with us (worried they would fight) but something changed between them that night and now they're friends again...playing tug I war and chasing a bit. I don't think they've established who is dominate alpha yet so we'll see. Sookie is a huge water dog now, playing in kiddie pools. Ruger is working on it. He's more cautious, perhaps because he's still so small. They've met four other small dogs and other than Ruger's caution, they are having a blast.

I'm not familiar with the toy sized Schnauzer. My miniature male who is 15 pounds had already begun losing his teeth and was quite a bit larger by this age. Is this typical of the toy size dogs? Thank you, Christa
WOW SHE IS STAYING REALLY REALLY SMALL, I NEVER EXPECTED THAT SMALL WITH HER!! YES ON THE TEETH IT IS AND IT WOULD BE BEST IF U START WIGGLING HER BABY TEETH TO GET THEM OUT OR END UP WITH A HUGE DENTAL BILL! CHRISTA I FEEL REALLY BAD AS I KNOW YOU WANTED TO BREED, WOULD YOU WANT TO BRING HER BACK TO TRADE FOR A LARGER BABY?? I FEEL REALLY BAD FOR YOU. I KNOW YOU ARE VERY ATTACHED BY NOW SO WHAT WOULD U LIKE TO DO TO MAKE THIS RIGHT? I WILL WORK WITH YOU, PHYLLIS

She has never had a mat, (unlike my male, who mats if he even looks at water) Rosies coat brushes right out in a perfect poof. I trim her face and paws about once a week. Because her hair grows so fast. But besides that, no problems. She's very healthy and hardy.

We lived in Kingman at the time, but live in Canada now. He has been a wonderful addition! We have been so blessed to have him!My husband named him Tank, or as I call him Tanker doodle! Our other schnauzer's name is Gunner. He's got quite the personality, and so loyal and loving. You are right, Porscha and Champ are the parents. Canada is surely different from Arizona. We should be here at least another year, and then hopefully back to the U.S. I will keep in touch and send some more pics soon |

I DISCOVERED THAT SHE LOVES TO BE COVERED UP WITH A SOFT BLANKET LIKE MY OTHER SCHNAUZER. I WATCHED HER BURY HER HEAD INTO ANYTHING SOFT SO I BEGAN LAST NIGHT BY COVERING HER UP. SHE IS ALSO GETTING USED TO GRASS AND BIRD NOISES. MY GUESS IS SHE HAD NEVER BEEN ON LAWN BECAUSE THE WAY SHE WALKED ON IT. SHE WAS PEEING LAST NIGHT WHEN A MOTH FLUTTERED BY AND FREAKED HER OUT. WATCHED HER THIS AFTERNOON WHILE IN THE BACK YARD STARING AT THE TREES AND LISTENING TO THE BIRDS. NEED TO MOW THIS AFTERNOON SO WE WILL SEE HOW SHE DOES WITH A LAWN MOWER. PLAN TO LEAVE THE SLIDING GLASS DOOR OPEN SO SHE CAN GO INTO THE HOUSE IF SHE WANTS TO. DON'T WANT TO SCARE HER. HAVE TO REMEMBER TO PICK UP THE POOP FIRST. HAVEN'T DONE THAT IN AWHILE. BOUGHT A TINY HARNESS YESTERDAY SO SHE WILL NOW BE SECURE IN THE CAR.

GOOD AFTERNOON, COCO IS GREAT. THE RIDE HOME WAS UNEVENTFUL. SHE SLEPT ON MY LAP FOR THE FIRST FEW HOURS AND THEN WE STOPPED FOR A REST AND A WALK. SHE LOVES THOSE TREATS. THANKS SO MUCH. GOT HOME ABOUT 11:30PM AND INTRODUCED HER TO THE BACKYARD. PUT HER CARRIER IN THE BEDROOM THINKING THAT SHE WOULD WANT IT FOR SECURITY. PUT HER TOY ON ONE OF THE LARGE, SOFT DOG BEDS I HAVE AND PUT IT ON MY BED. SHOWED HER HOW TO JUMP UP ON THE FOOT STOOL FIRST AND THEN UP ON MY BED. SHE WENT THOUGH THE MOTIONS OF USING THE FOOT STOLE FOR ME SEVERAL TIMES BUT THEN IMMEDIATELY BEGAN SKIPPING THE FOOT STOLE AND JUMPING FROM FLOOR TO BED/BED TO FLOOR. SHE IS LIKE A LITTLE GIZZEL. WHEN I GOT OUT OF THE SHOWER I LOOKED FOR HER IN THE CARRIER AND ON THE DOG BED. EMPTY. STARTED LOOKING AROUND AND FOUND HER TUCKED AWAY IN THE MIDDLE OF A FLUFFY BLANKET THAT I COVER UP WITH IF I GET COLD AT NIGHT. MOVED HER TO THE DOG BED AND STARTED TO GET INTO BED. SHE WAS IN MY SPOT BEFORE I COULD EVEN GET INTO "MY SPOT." KEPT PUTTING HER BACK INTO THE DOG BED BUT FINALLY GAVE UP BECAUSE I WAS SO TIRED AND LET HER CURL MY NEXT TO ME THINKING SHE WAS PROBABLY A LITTLE AFRAID AND NEEDED THE CLOSENESS. WRONG. I FOUND OUT LAST NIGHT THAT SHE JUST WANTS THE ENTIRE BED. WE'LL WORK IT OUT. SUNDAY MORNING WE WERE UP EARLY BECAUSE I HAD THINGS TO PREPARE FOR MY PART OF THE FAMILY DINNER HAPPENING AT MY DAUGHTER'S HOUSE AND ANSWERING THE TELEPHONE CALLS FROM FRIENDS ABOUT COCO. AT THIS POINT SHE HAD NOT EATTEN. TOOK OFF FOR MY DAUGHTER'S THE MINUTE I HAD THE CAR PACKED. MY DAUGHTER AND DAVID'S HOUSE IS 45 MINUTES AWAY. GRANDDAUGHTER MET ME IN THE DRIVEWAY AND TOOK POSITION OF THE DOG. INTRODUCED COCO TO THEIR THREE CATS. MUCH TO THE CAT'S AMAZEMENT THEY COULD NOT BOSS COCO AROUND LIKE MY OTHER BLIND SCHNAUZER. PECKING ORDER ESTABLISHED, FAMILY BEGAN TO ARRIVE ~ 22 OF THEM. COCO INTRODUCED AND EVERYONE WAS INFORMED NOT TO FEED HER ANY TABLE FOOD. MY DAUGHTER HAS A "NO DOGS IN THE KITCHEN RULE" SO WE BEGAN TRYING TO IMPRESS THAT ON COCO BUT COCO HAS A RULE OF HER OWN. ALL GOOD SMELLING STUFF IS FAIR GAME AND SOMETHING SHE IS ENTITLED TO SAMPLE. FINALLY WE HAD MY GRANDDAUGHTER TAKE HER ON A TOUR OF THE BACK YARD ALTHOUGH I DID TAKE THE CARRIER. AFTER FAMILY LEFT WE SPENT SEVERAL HOURS PLANNING THIS COMING WEEKENDS EVENTS. WE HAVE A FORMAL TEA WHICH IS THE LAST EVENT OF THE SCHOOL YEAR AT MY GRANDDAUGHTERS CATHOLIC SCHOOL AND HONOR COURT FOR MY GRANDSON'S BOY SCOUT TROUP ON SUNDAY. LEFT AFTER 8PM ON SUNDAY NIGHT BUT STILL HAD 2 FRIENDS HOUSES TO STOP BY ON THE WAY HOME TO INTRODUCE COCO. BEFORE GOING TO BED COCO DRANK WATER BUT DIDN'T EAT. GOT UP THIS MORNING AND BEGAN TO GROW CONCERNED BECAUSE COCO HAD SMELLED THE DOG FOOD BUT NOT EATEN ANY. WHILE I WAS MAKING A CUP OF COFFEE SHE BEGAN TO EAT AND HAS EATEN SOME EVERY TIME WE HAVE GONE INTO THE KITCHEN TODAY. SHE'LL EAT AS LONG AS I AM IN THE KITCHEN WITH HER SO I HANG AROUND IN THERE AWHILE DOING ANYTHING BUT RATTLING PAPER. IF IT SOUNDS LIKE A CANDY WRAPPER OR A DOGGY SNACK BAG ~ COCO SPINS IN DELIGHT. SO I JUST KEEP WIPING THE SAME THINGS SO SHE WILL KEEP EATING. IF I STOP TO JUST WATCH HER EAT ~ SHE STOPS AND WATCHES ME. SO I DECIDED NOT TO SEE A PATIENT TODAY SO THAT WE COULD JUST SPEND THE DAY TOGETHER. SHE LOVES THE BACK YARD AND EXPLORES A LITTLE MORE EACH TIME SHE IS THERE AS LONG AS I AM OUT THERE WITH HER. THE LITTLE PICKET FENCE I BUILT TO KEEP MY BLIND SCHNAUZER OUT OF THE FROG POND IS NO BARRIER FOR HER. SHE HAS WALKED AROUND IT AND WATCHED THE TADPOLES BUT IS NOT REALLY INTERESTED IN GETTING ANY CLOSER. CAUGHT HER STARTING TO PEE PEE ON THE CARPET THE FIRST NIGHT SO I QUICKLY PICKED HER UP AND CARRIED HER TO THE BACK YARD WHERE SHE FINISHED BUT I DO TAKE HER TO THE BACK YARD FREQUENTLY. SHE SEEMS TO ENJOY THE GRASS AND LISTENS TO BIRDS MAKING NOISE. I HAVE LOTS OF WILD BIRDS IN MY TREES. SHE DID HEAR BEAR THE SCOTTY NEXT DOOR BARK THIS MORNING BUT IT DIDN'T SEEM TO INTEREST HER ENOUGH TO WANT TO GO OUTSIDE. NEED TO TAKE HER NEXT DOOR TO MY NEIGHBORS ON THE OTHER SIDE TO MEET THEM AND THEIR DOG BUSTER. LOTS OF DOGS IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD. SO FOR NOW THAT IS ABOUT IT. | | Merry Christmas to you and your family from Keith and I. Penelope is terrific. Keith is starting to consider a little boy as his almost 14 year old min pin is really showing his age. He was going to do another min pin but loves Penelope so much and she has things she just does that he likes. She will sit down and watch and not be in the way and when he stops walking, she automatically sits and has done this since we brought her home. She is calm at the vets and just lays beside of him and watches, totally laid back. Is she unusual or pretty much the norm for your puppies? Everybody just loves her. Thank you! |

HI PHYLLIS, JUST WANTED TO DROP YOU A QUICK NOTE AND LET YOU KNOW THAT THE OUR NEW BOY IS DOING GREAT!! HE SPENT THE DAY YESTERDAY CUDDLING WITH EVERYONE AND WATCHING OUR OTHER TWO ADULT SCHNAUZER BOYS. HE WASN’T EATING OR DRINKING MUCH – JUST A LITTLE HAND-FED WATER AND FOOD - UNTIL THIS MORNING WHEN HE ATE A GOOD AMOUNT OF THE FOOD YOU PROVIDED AND WENT TO TOWN ON DRINKING HIS FILL OF WATER. THIS MORNING WE CAREFULLY LET HIM START PLAYING WITH THE OLDER BOYS AND EVERYONE DID GREAT! OUR 4 YEAR OLD MINI-SCHNAUZER, HARRY, IS BEING THE PERFECT PARENT – VERY PATIENT AND ATTENTIVE AND MAKING SURE OUR NEW BOY IS NOT GETTING INTO TROUBLE – WHILE LETTING THE PUPPY PLAY WITH HIM. OUR OLDER BOY, BUTCH, IS SENIOR AND THEREFORE TOLERANT OF THE PUPPY AND LETTING HIM PLAY AROUND HIM – BUT JUST KEEPING A WATCHFUL EYE (HE’S AN OLD MAN J). WE HAVE SETTLED ON A NAME FOR HIM! WE NAME OUR BOYS AFTER MALE ACTION STARS – “HARRY” IS ACTUALLY SHORT FOR “HARRISON” AS IN “HARRISON FORD”. BUTCH’S FULL NAME IS “BUTCH CASSIDY”. THE NEW PUPPY’S NAME IS JAX – SHORT FOR “JACKSON” AFTER “SAMUEL L. JACKSON” (ONE OF OUR FAVORITES J). JAX IS DOING WONDERFULLY AND IS DOING GREAT WITH THE FAMILY – WE’LL HAVE PICTURES COMING SOON! ALL THE BEST! ELLIOT AND MEG

Hi Phyllis,
Hope all is well at Fort Schnauzer!
I wanted to let you know
that Schnoopy is doing great! He just got his third round of shots and
weighs 4.2 IBS, he's twice the size! He loves to sleep in and sometimes
will stay in bed even after we wake up! He had one ear go up for about
two weeks and we thought he was going to have one ear up and the other
down which we thought was cute but it went back down so who knows, he
looks adorable any way!
He started going to puppy
playtime at our vet's who offers a service for all their puppy patients
to socialize in a controlled and safe environment with healthy dogs. He
does really well with other dogs, he plays with all size dogs and isn't
aggressive or afraid of any dog. I have to tell you he is the favorite
at the vet's and among the other dog parents, he get's so much
attention! One of the other dog owners took a video of Schnoopy and
sent it to his friend and she fell in love with him so much that she
came to puppy playtime just to meet him and now she wants one for
herself so I will pass along all your information to her. I don't know
her personally but her name is Bita in case she contacts you. I've
included some pic's of schnoopy and if you want to keep up with him and
everything he's doing, he has his own Instagram Account (your son Paul
will probably know what this is) at "SCHNOOPYFANCLUB".
Kisses from Schnoopy!

1/6/14 FROM NEW MOM TANYA
It's hard to believe that
Oliver and Tucker have been home with me for four weeks, come tomorrow.
We have become inseparable from day one. They have been quick to learn
potty training and are coming along with their learning a of come and
sit. Their personalities are starting to come through and everyday they
discover something new that makes me smile. Though Oliver is the
smallest, he is the bravest and the most confident and inquisitive over
his brother. Tucker seems to stand back and observe with caution before
acting. He also is a bit insecure and cries from time to time, if I
leave the room or if he is getting shots. You would think being the
bigger guy that he would be the bravest. They get a great deal of
attention and affection everyday and are the star employees at my
office. It's been great taking them to work everyday as its been
wonderful for their social learning. They love the car ride, mostly
cause it puts them to sleep and I should mention their love of frozen
green beans! All in all, their coming along tremendously and I try to
take as many photos and videos that I can so that I don't forget how
small they are. I'm attaching a few photos and videos and will update
you as they grow. Thank you again for my two boys!
Feel free to post my e-mail and photos. Little Oliver:
Tucker: 12/13/213
Hi Phyllis! I just wanted to touch base
with you tell let you know that Tucker and Oliver are settling in well.
I've introduced different parts of the house to them gradually and I can
see their comfort levels growing. They stick to me like glue and I
absolutely love it and love them so much! I took them to the vet
yesterday for a wellness visit and I was beyond words with the welcome
we got. Scooter was a staple at the vets office given his many health
issues so, it was wonderful for us to receive such attention and care
from everyone. The boys got glowing reviews of course and everyone is in
love with them. I had several pet parents ask me if I was keeping them
both to which I said I had just picked them up the other day and you bet
I am! I did hand them your card if they had inquiries. I am beyond
ecstatic and I feel so blessed to have found you. Thank you for such
previous gifts! I will of course update you to their progress and send
pics soon.

MEAGAN Hi PhyllisShe
is doing so good. Slept all night!! Yeah!!! I have a smaller soft
carrier and I put her in that with a blanket and water in the middle of
my bed so I could touch her if she cried. That worked beautifully. She ate well this morning and had a normal stool. My
two Yorkies (5 pounds each), Bella and Nikita, have their noses a
little twisted (What is that???) but once she stopped running over them
all was well and they now play together. They still don't like sharing
my lap - so now I have one on each leg and one on my shoulder. Jazmine (12 years old Mini-Schnauzer) checked her out and then could care less, but is very happy with her toys. Life is good! Maxine
Hi Phyllis 12/6/13
Thank
you for our new baby girl! She is adorable, playful, happy and in
total control of our lives already. I can tell she has been very well
cared for from birth. It is so nice to get a puppy from a loving, caring home. Thank you so much.
By
the way, she made it home without getting car sick. Ran around the
house checking it out and chose not the tile floor. but christened the
carpet. LOL!! She
is currently curled up in my lap sleeping. I think I am in trouble for
tonight she is not going to sleep in her own bed. There may be no
sleeping in Mesa tonight Merle and Maxine
SENT 10/30/13PONCHOWe love him! It only took him a few minutes to warm up to us; we love how laid back he is. He had a great first night too! WENDE
RECEIVED 10/13/13Hi, Phyllis!
I've contacted you about puppies, but haven't bought one from you yet. I
have a wonderful toy size white chocolate puppy who is the joy of my
life & I've thought about getting another schnauzer to keep her
company which is what has brought me to your family.
The reason I'm writing is to share with you that I've now met 3 of your
puppy owners and all are ecstatic about you & your family & your
puppies. I met Taz, a brown & white parti, at the dog park today
& his mom couldn't stop raving about you & Stephene. All 3
owners have said how amazing you personally are and how healthy their
dogs are & how happy they are to have chosen Fort Schnauzer as the
location to buy their puppies. I just wanted you to know that you have
a wonderful reputation in the Las Vegas area. Keep up the great work
& if I decide to buy another dog, I'll know where to get it!

Hi Phyllis, How are you doing? I thought I
would touch base with you and give you an update on our little Miss
Ruby! She is doing FANTASTIC and we just love her to pieces! She has
fit beautifully into our family. She has been to the vet 2 times with
her vaccinations and she has done great! The vet looked her over
thoroughly and told us what we already knew, that she is perfect in
every way. She
has now over doubled in size with her last weigh-in at 4.6 lbs. She
was 1.9 lbs. when we first brought her home. She is doing great with
potty training and is a smart little pooch. She already has “sit” down
and we are working on “fetch”. She is still
sticking around the house until all of her vaccinations are done but she
has been introduced to some of our family dogs and has done great! Thanks so much for our beautiful little girl. We are SO much in love with her! Sincerely, Angie

LITTLE GIRL ON LEFT! Hi Phyllis,
Just thought I would drop a note to let you know how our little girl is progressing. She just couldn't be better... she improves everyday. Learns very quickly and she is so sweet. She goes to the door to let us know she needs to
potty and she sleeps in her crate all through the night. She even puts herself in her crate when she gets tired...it is just precious.Hope all your other pups are doing well.
Happy New Year....Christine

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Sally is so smart she is coming along with her potty training.
She plays fetch. If I throw her ball or toy she keeps bringing it back. She's really bonded with Leia our female Airedale.
Luke the boy is scared of her...lol..... I told you he is our gentle giant. When my son moves out and takes the bigger kids....we will be back for another Schnauzer.
Thanks for everything !

Hi Grandma Phyllis,
Mom wanted you to see what I look like when I'm in my "poodle" mode,
aka, my hair is way too long. She also wanted you to see how much
better I look when I'm back to looking like a Schnauzer. Of course, my
little brother, Freddie, always looks like a Schnauzer, so she sent a
picture of his handsome little face too.
Hope you and all my Schnauzer cousins are doing well.
Lots of Love,
Tootsie

Subject: Thank you for Tootsie and Freddie Good Morning Phyllis,
Just want to let you know that yesterday was the one year anniversary of bringing our "furry babies" home and that we love them so much. Getting two at the same time was definitely a challenge, but
well worth the effort. Both of them have grown into such beautiful dogs, and we get so many compliments from other folks. They each have
their own unique personality, but stick together like glue 99% of the
time. They absolutely love each other, although when they play rough
you would think they are killing each other. (No blood is ever drawn)
Freddie just loves playing with other dogs, and holds his own with our
daughter's Bulldog, Sophie, and our friends Wheaton Terrier, Rio. He is
a fast little guy, so the bigger dogs are not a problem. Tootsie, not
so much. We have to keep her separated but we let her watch. Hopefully
she will get the ideathat growling and being nasty to other dogs is
not the way to go. When it comes to us, Tootsie is the biggest lover
ever. She is definitley a "lap" dog and must be right next to me to
take her naps. Freddie's favorite time is sitting in the rocking chair
with us and falling asleep. Yup, they are two spoiled little pups!
You made the whole process of adoption so great. I felt
very comfortable with how you take care of all your dogs and raise those
beautiful babies. We thank you so much for both Tootsie and Freddie.
They made our lives complete.
Love ya,Debbie
UPDATE 9/16/16 Morning time getting cozy! They live a pretty good life, no?
Just had to share with you.
Debbie
Hi Phyllis! "Twix" is doing fantastic! He is very happy in his new home with his new friend. My daughter was so surprised and extremely thankful. He's keeping
his potties to the pee pad mostly too. Maybe his little paws will actually hit
the floor today. Spoiled baby! We love him thank you! -Shalice
| We love daisy soooo much!!! She is the most friendly dog we have ever had. Her and Noel and the cat are the best of friends
|
| Update on Dayzie What
a sweet baby she is! She weighs 6 lbs, has lots of energy. She loves
her 2 hour walks every morning, always looking for rabbits and lizards.
We live in a rurally little town outside of st. George, so there is
lots of fun things for them to look for. Dayzie loves all people and
thinks they all love her. We get a lot of comments on a black and white
schnauzer. She loves her "momma kitty" who started raising her the
minute we brought her home. Noel loves her too, being the best of
friends. We are so impressed with her personality and when we are
ready we will defiantly buy from you again. I want a white chocolate,
but Scott wants the liver and white. We shall see :) I hope all is well with you |

Feb 8 2009Hi, my name is Frances Aguirre and I have two
Schnauzers, Angel and Carlos. Angel is white and Carlos is
chocolate. Because I live within a couple of miles of Phyllis' home
and Carlos is one of her studs, I visit with her often and can verify
that she is probably the most ethical breeder I have ever met She keeps her babies well fed, healthy, and clean. She cares very much
about who takes her schnauzers and how well they are taken care of. I
recommend Phyllis as a breeder without reservation.
Feb 5 2009
We have one of her litter from Dec '07 and our little
schnauzer is perfect! Our little Christi is now 1 year old and in perfect
health. I believe Phyllis is a very resposible breeder and loves
to follow up on what is happening in the lives of 'her kids'. Sometimes I think she would keep them all, if she could.
Please feel free to ask more questions from us if you wish. Have a great day! Dick, Bev &
Christi Henderson, NV
Well time really flies.....Christy is 5 years old today. We didn't bake her a cake As she would probably just throw it up! She still acts like a puppy which is OK with us.
She is healthy and happy. She will get her usual treat of "Crunch n Bones" that you Started us on when we first brought her home. It's a low calorie treat and she will do
Anything we ask in order to receive this treat. We cut them in quarters.
Have a Happy New Years and love to you and all your kiddies.

Merlin - Purchased August 2011
L. Drake to you
Hi Phyllis!
I'm sending you pictures our dog we got from you, that was named Merlin
is is now called Kaos, Doodles and Buddy :) I called you about 6
weeks ago and talked to you about all the hair loss he had, and how his
coat had gone down to almost a short haired dog. Our groomer came a few
days later and told us she is doing his brother or sister, same litter
born the same day and that the hair was fine. This got me to thinking
that our Vet was missing something and I took him back over and told him
my gut feeling was he WAS missing something, that it was not allergies,
nor did he need anti-depressants for OCD behavior that something else
was wrong. He took a full blood panel and skin scrapings and called me
back the next day and said my gut feeling was correct. His white blood
count was very high but his skin scrapings were negative. He prescribed
a 30 day low dose broad spectrum antibiotic for bacterial skin
infections and I threw away those antidepressants. After the first 5
days fuzz started growing over his belly at the end of the 30 days his
hair was growing in all over his body. The vet said it can take 6-9
months for all the hair to catch up, especially those areas that were
effected the most, but he is making HUGE progress in just 40-45 days. I still think it has to do with him catching and eating the heads off
those pigeons. We made no changes to his diet, he was basically eating
what you feed your dogs and plenty of veggie and fruit leftovers. He
loves his private time with me, I comb out his hair and brush his teeth a
few times a week - check his nails, his ears… and he's the only dog I
have that seems to actually enjoy that kind of attentionHe was born 6/19/2011 to
Charly Brown and Jewel. To me he looks a lot like his dad. The vet
measured him for us and he's 17" in height and his weight stays between
21 & 22 pounds. I know it's larger than you like, but he is an
absolutely perfect size for us. He is a "hunter" … his favorite days
are when I have piles of laundry and he can burrow to the bottom of them
and destroy my piles. He loves going to our cabin in the mountains,
he's no priss. He wants in the mud, the water or any other hole he can
find. He is vigilant about guarding our property from bunny rabbits,
wild mustangs, bugs, butterflies - you name it. He loves to swim, and
someone forgot to tell him he's a little dog when he comes nose to nose
with a truly large dog. He's not so keen on little children, he's tries
to keep the older children rounded up into one area, and he is wary of
adult strangers. He's the best guard dog we've ever had - his happy "I
know you" bark is totally different than his "Who are you, stay away"
bark. I took him through the intermediate obedience, though he was darn stubborn and preferred doing things when he felt like it, he graduated
with high marks. :) He absolutely loves going to my friends house who
trains her cockers for agility trials. He thinks that obstacle field is
the greatest playground ever, especially the tunnels and jumps. He's
shocked me a few times with this LONG high pitched howl - I mean it
can go on forever. Once was when I left the house, I could hear him
clear to my car and my husband said he kept it up for a good 5 minutes,
the other one was yesterday when our other dog got in the grooming van
and he thought she was leaving. Oh lord, it makes you want to cover your ears but it had me burst out laughing cause he just sounded so
pitiful…I had to pick him to make him stop. Anyway, he has made us true
lovers of the Schnauzer breed. I've posted his pictures and your
website on my Facebook and so many people have asked me for your website I hope they end up making the trip out to look at your puppies. If
you ever need another reference for your dogs, I'm certainly happy to
do so. We hope to get another one from you this next summer. I
wanted to send you a few pictures… I hope you enjoy them and Happy
Holidays are coming up (a friend from Pahrump said they were going to
put a deposit on a chocolate for your Christmas litters) and may you all
be blessed in the upcoming year. With Regards, Lori and Lance Drake - Las Vegas, NV OUR
10 year old German Wire Hair is his Surrogate Mother - She's been a great Mom to him, but he might have
learned far too many hunting traits from her!

Hi Phyllis, wanted to catch you up on what's happening with the little one. We named her Bailey... like Bailey's Irish Cream. We tried to think of
something chocolate and delightful. First we named her Kaylee yet to many people related it to the Anthony case, did not want that
association. We sure do love her already and I can see she will be extremely spoiled. She is just the sweeties thing ever. I made her a coat for
early morning walks and shopped for a tag to match the purple collar herdaddy bought her. We visit Inka and her family for play time and her favorite treat is the sweet potato snacks. Thanks so
much for all your head start training.... She is Great Oney

Our little Bailey is just wonderful. She is so sweet, cute and smart. Sound like a new parent? She plays so well with others that the neighbors bring their Sadie over to play most mornings. Leaving the leash on Sadie and Bailey will pick it up and take her for a walk. They run and run til they both collaps lay down face to face and just look at each other ,it is so funny. I Have picture I have not down loaded yet,
will send you some soon.
